The Miami Dolphins have moved their starting right tackle, Austin Jackson, to injured reserve due to a knee issue. While Jackson is projected to miss a minimum of four games, Coach Mike McDaniel believes that this injury will not end his season. Either Kendall Lamm or Patrick Paul is expected to fill Jackson's position in the starting lineup.
In 2022, Jackson was absent for 15 games because of multiple injuries but managed to appear in 17 of the 18 games during the 2023 season. In December 2023, he secured a three-year contract extension worth $36 million and has participated in all eight games this season.
Wide receiver River Cracraft, who had been sidelined with a shoulder injury from the preseason, has returned from injured reserve. He might have to step up for leading receiver Tyreek Hill, who is uncertain for Monday's matchup against the Los Angeles Rams due to a wrist injury.
In addition, the Dolphins have added defensive tackle Neil Farrell to their active roster and have called up long-snapper Tucker Addington and offensive tackle Jackson Carman for the game on Monday.
