Jacksonville Jaguars News & Updates

On Sunday, former Jacksonville Jaguars players Cam Robinson and Josh Hines-Allen will meet again when Robinson plays for the Minnesota Vikings following his recent trade.

Minnesota, with a 6-2 record, is driven to keep pace with the leaders of the NFC North, Detroit. On the other hand, Jacksonville, standing at 2-7, is eager to stop a three-game losing streak that jeopardizes their AFC South aspirations.

The condition of Trevor Lawrence, who is dealing with an injury to his non-throwing shoulder, will be pivotal. If Lawrence is unable to play, C.J. Beathard is ready to step in. Robinson’s return to the field offers an interesting angle to the matchup. Prior to being traded, he played in 91 games for Jacksonville and was awarded a game ball for his standout performance during his Vikings debut.

Even though there were some difficulties surrounding his departure, Robinson is expected to receive a warm reception in Jacksonville. According to Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold, the main focus of the game will be on execution rather than personal ties.

Vikings running back Aaron Jones is having a standout year, achieving a career-high number of attempts this season.

Minnesota holds an unbeaten 2-0 record in matches played in Jacksonville, making them the only NFL team yet to be defeated by the Jaguars at home.

Due to injuries, the Vikings will see some roster changes with long snapper Andrew DePaola and kicker Will Reichard sidelined. Their spots will be filled by Jake McQuaide and John Parker Romo.

In a nod to the famous beaches of their local area, the Jaguars will take to the field wearing white helmets.
