Ex-Raiders Head Coach Norv Turner Returns as Senior Adviser; Son Scott Appointed Interim Offensive Coordinator

Norv Turner, who previously served as both a head coach and offensive coordinator, has joined the Raiders as a senior advisor.

Following a five-game losing streak, the Raiders decided to part ways with offensive coordinator Luke Getsy and several other offensive coaches.

Scott Turner, Norv Turner's son, will step in as the interim offensive coordinator, and Joe Philbin will take over as the interim offensive line coach.

Scott Turner has worked in offensive roles for both Washington and the Raiders in the past, and Norv Turner brings a wealth of experience from his NFL head coaching and coordinator positions.

The Raiders benefit from an experienced coaching staff, including the likes of Marvin Lewis and Tom Coughlin, to aid first-time head coach Josh McDaniels.

Norv Turner attended a team training camp scrimmage, and his role is seen as valuable support for McDaniels in his debut season leading the team.
