Atlanta Falcons News & Updates

Atlanta Falcons' center Drew Dalman has sustained a high sprain to his left ankle, according to a source. This diagnosis has been confirmed through medical tests.

Whether Dalman will be placed on injured reserve remains uncertain, as the team has not yet made any official roster decisions. The injury happened during Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs, forcing him to exit in the second quarter.

Ryan Neuzil, serving as the backup offensive lineman, stepped in for Dalman. Initially, the team struggled with this transition, evidenced by quarterback Kirk Cousins fumbling two snaps in a row. However, Neuzil eventually helped stabilize the offense.

Kirk Cousins mentioned the importance of practicing with Neuzil, hinting at Dalman's absence. Additionally, the Falcons lost right tackle Kaleb McGary to a knee injury during the second quarter. Coach Raheem Morris is expected to provide more updates on both injuries later this week.
