Flawless Performance Propels Lions to 42-29 Victory Against Seahawks

Jared Goff achieved an impeccable 18-for-18 performance, setting a new NFL record. He also caught a touchdown pass, forming a dynamic duo with Amon-Ra St. Brown, where each has thrown and caught a touchdown from the other.

Kurt Warner held the previous record with a 10-for-10 game in 2005. Goff's record is impressive, even though one incomplete pass was nullified by a penalty.

The Lions' win was marked by a strong offensive showing. Goff threw for 292 yards and two touchdowns to St. Brown and Jameson Williams. Gibbs and Montgomery contributed with two and one rushing touchdowns, respectively.

On the other hand, the Seahawks' defense struggled against Detroit. Coach Mike Macdonald's aggressive fourth-down strategies backfired, causing turnovers and a momentum shift against his team.

Smith passed for 395 yards and a touchdown but also threw an interception. Lockett's pass interference penalty and Smith's missed passes on crucial fourth downs hindered Seattle's chances of a comeback.

Both teams were affected by injuries, with the Seahawks losing Julian Love and the Lions missing Brian Branch and Frank Ragnow.

The Seahawks will play the Giants next, while the Lions have a bye week before competing against Dallas.
