Baltimore Ravens News & Updates

Baltimore Ravens’ new defensive coordinator, Zach Orr, is benefiting from the guidance of former coach Dean Pees.

At 75 years old, Pees has been engaged as a senior adviser to help improve the struggling Ravens defense.

Previously, Pees held the position of defensive coordinator for the Ravens from 2012 to 2017 and coached Orr when he was a player for three seasons.

Under Orr's management, the Ravens are currently positioned 26th in points allowed and 31st in pass defense, marking the second-highest total of points conceded by the team in the season's first five weeks, surpassed only by the 2015 team.

Pees possesses a wealth of experience as a defensive coordinator, having contributed to four teams, including his stints with the Tennessee Titans and Atlanta Falcons.

The Ravens, holding a 3-2 record, are scheduled to compete against the Washington Commanders, who are leading the NFL in scoring with their 4-1 record, in the upcoming game.
