Seattle Seahawks News & Updates

Coach Mike Macdonald committed to enhancing the team's performance at home following the Seattle Seahawks' record of 2-4 at Lumen Field.

Quarterback Geno Smith expressed regret for throwing three interceptions, including a pick-six, taking full responsibility for his errors and showing remorse.

Although Smith was not the only one at fault for the defeat, his second interception resulted in a loss of 14 points. He admitted to holding onto the ball for too long and not making a wiser choice.

The third interception from Smith happened after Seattle had a chance to level the score due to a blocked punt. Despite what appeared to be a hold on his target, Smith took accountability for the turnover.

Even though Smith threw for three touchdown passes, he was under constant pressure from the Rams. He managed to throw for 363 yards but was sacked seven times during the game.

Rookie tackle Michael Jerrell stepped in following George Fant's knee injury. While Coach Macdonald praised Smith's perseverance, he highlighted the necessity for better protection.

Smith's efforts in the later stages of the game kept the Seahawks competitive, but they eventually fell short in overtime.

The Seahawks encountered 12 penalties and difficulties with the center-quarterback exchange. Smith defended Connor Williams' efforts, but acknowledged areas needing improvement.

Following an initial 3-0 start, the Seahawks' current 4-5 record is notably poor. Smith stressed the importance of personal betterment to achieve victories.
