New York Giants News & Updates

The New York Giants are dealing with the potential loss of left tackle Andrew Thomas, who may have sustained a Lisfranc injury during their recent game against the Cincinnati Bengals. This injury is serious enough to raise concerns about him being out for the rest of the season.

Thomas was recognized as a second-team All-Pro in 2022 and has been vital to the improvements in the Giants' offensive line this season. Tests have confirmed the extent of his injury, emphasizing the challenge the team now faces in his absence.

This is the second year in a row that Thomas is expected to miss a significant portion of the season; a hamstring injury had already kept him out of seven games the previous year. Joshua Ezeudu is anticipated to step in for Thomas, while Evan Neal is available as a backup tackle. The coaching staff might consider repositioning Neal to right tackle and moving Jermaine Eluemunor to cover the left tackle position.
