In an exciting contest at Dodger Stadium, the Los Angeles Dodgers emerged victorious over the San Diego Padres with a score of 5-3.
Initially, the Dodgers took the lead as Will Smith launched a home run in the first inning. The Padres replied by adding two runs in the third inning, but the Dodgers reclaimed their advantage in the fourth inning thanks to a sacrifice fly by Austin Barnes.
Cody Bellinger then increased the lead for the Dodgers to 4-2 through a solo homer in the sixth inning. The Padres, however, closed the gap in the seventh inning with a run scored from a Trent Grisham RBI double.
The eighth inning saw the Dodgers securing their win after Max Muncy hit a solo homer, bringing the score to 5-3. Kenley Jansen ensured the win for the Dodgers with a scoreless ninth inning to capture the save.
Julio Urias was awarded the win for the Dodgers, while Blake Snell was tagged with the loss for the Padres.
