During a 20-15 defeat to the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers achieved another milestone with 12 receptions totaling 115 yards.
Over his first four games, Nabers has amassed 35 catches for 386 yards and three touchdowns, marking an unprecedented accomplishment in NFL history.
In the fourth quarter, Nabers sustained a concussion and had to exit the game. He attempted to catch a desperate pass from Daniel Jones, but his face mask struck the ground forcefully, causing the ball to come loose and leading to a turnover on downs.
Currently, Nabers is undergoing the NFL's concussion protocol, as the Giants gear up for their upcoming game against the Seattle Seahawks in 10 days.
Wan'Dale Robinson, who recorded 11 catches for 71 yards in the loss, is hopeful that Nabers will recover soon.
Nabers has emerged as a crucial target for the Giants offense, being targeted 15 times and maintaining an outstanding performance level.
He holds the second-highest number of receptions in the first four career games, trailing only Puka Nacua. Additionally, Nabers has achieved two games with at least 10 receptions and 100 receiving yards, the first rookie to do so since Odell Beckham Jr.
In the matchup against the Cowboys, Nabers' influence was highlighted by a 39-yard catch on the opening drive.
Although the Giants attempted to equalize the game, their efforts were thwarted by an interception on a Hail Mary play, with Nabers sidelined due to his injury.
