Houston Texans News & Updates

Houston Texans receiver Stefon Diggs has sustained an ACL tear and will be out for the rest of the season, as announced by coach DeMeco Ryans.

Diggs sustained the knee injury during a non-contact play in the team’s win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.

Since joining the team in an offseason trade from the Buffalo Bills, Diggs has been one of the top receivers in the league this season. He is a four-time Pro Bowl pick and has consistently surpassed 1,000 receiving yards in recent years.

This setback adds to the Texans' existing issues, as leading receiver Nico Collins is also out with a hamstring injury.

With Diggs sidelined, Tank Dell is set to take on a larger role in Thursday night's game against the New York Jets. Although Dell has not matched his stellar rookie season performance, he continues to be an essential part of the Texans' offense.

The Texans currently hold the lead in the AFC South with a 6-2 record.
