Houston Triumphs Over Chicago Bears, Overcoming Second-Half Setbacks

Houston's strong defense propelled the Texans to a 19-13 win over Chicago on Sunday. After the halftime break, they managed to intercept Chicago's rookie quarterback Caleb Williams twice.

C.J. Stroud contributed significantly by throwing for 260 yards and a touchdown. Meanwhile, Ka'imi Fairbairn successfully kicked four field goals. The defense kept the pressure on Williams, recording seven sacks.

Nico Collins racked up 135 receiving yards for Houston. Joe Mixon, despite leaving briefly due to an ankle injury, returned to rush for 25 yards. The second half saw no scoring until Houston added a 53-yard field goal, making it 19-10 following an interception from a hit on Williams.

For Chicago, Khalil Herbert scored their only touchdown, complemented by a field goal from Cairo Santos.

The Bears faced a couple of setbacks as Zacch Pickens exited with a groin injury, and Keenan Allen was inactive. On the Houston side, Calen Bullock received a penalty for pass interference.

Next Sunday, Houston will play against the Vikings, while Chicago is set to visit Indianapolis.
