San Francisco 49ers News & Updates

San Francisco 49ers rookie wide receiver Ricky Pearsall is set to play his first NFL game against the Kansas City Chiefs this Sunday.

After being shot in August, Pearsall has made a swift recovery, showing impressive form in practice throughout the week. He is being moved from the non-football injury list to the active roster.

Wide receiver Jauan Jennings will not be playing due to a hip injury, while both running back Jordan Mason and Deebo Samuel are cleared for play after limited participation in practice.

Pearsall might be crucial against the Chiefs' strong press man defense. Quarterback Brock Purdy has commended Pearsall for his ability to excel in matchups and create space on the field.

The 49ers will have their third kicker in three games, as Anders Carlson has been promoted from the practice squad to step in for Matthew Wright and Jake Moody, who are both sidelined with injuries.
