Chicago Bears wide receiver Keenan Allen is set to miss his second game in a row due to a heel injury.
The 32-year-old missed the Bears' game against Houston because of the injury and also sat out all three practices before the Colts game. As a result, he has been declared out. Additionally, the Bears have ruled out fullback Khari Blasingame (hand/knee), running back Travis Homer (finger), and defensive tackle Zacch Pickens (groin). Right guard Nate Davis (groin) is listed as questionable.
Allen recorded four catches for 29 yards in the Bears' season-opening victory against the Tennessee Titans. He will not accompany the team to Indianapolis due to personal reasons.
Coach Matt Eberflus mentioned that Allen's heel injury is getting better and described it as a "day-to-day" situation. Despite Allen missing six consecutive practices, Eberflus is optimistic that the injury won't persist throughout the season.
"He'll be ready when he's ready, when his body tells him," Eberflus commented. "Our training staff is excellent, and they are working hard to get him back as soon as possible."
