Tampa Bay Buccaneers News & Updates

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' coach, Todd Bowles, has confirmed that starting right tackle Luke Goedeke, sidelined since Week 1 due to a concussion, has been approved to play in Sunday's game against the Saints.

Defensive tackle Calijah Kancey, the team's first-round pick in 2023, is ready to return following a calf injury. Meanwhile, starting center Graham Barton will miss the game with a hamstring injury, and running back Rachaad White is doubtful because of a foot issue.

All-Pro safety Antoine Winfield Jr., who signed a record-breaking contract for a defensive back in May, remains uncertain for Sunday's matchup. Christian Izien, who would've replaced Winfield, is out due to injuries to his elbow and groin.

Jordan Whitehead, the Bucs' other safety starter, is anticipated to play despite a groin injury. The decision on Rachaad White's participation will be made at game time.

Wide receiver Trey Palmer will be absent for the second consecutive game due to a concussion, and Kameron Johnson is sidelined with an ankle injury. Jalen McMillan, after missing the last two weeks because of a hamstring problem, will return to action.

Coach Bowles mentioned that Goedeke's fitness levels might be impacted by his five-game break but expressed confidence in his preparedness for Sunday's clash.

With Barton unavailable, Robert Hainsey, who has been the starting center for the previous two seasons, will step in. Bowles commended Hainsey for his intelligence, resilience, and rapport with the squad.
