Intense Heat Challenges San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals in Historic Battle at Levi's Stadium

Upon leaving their locker room, players from the San Francisco 49ers found refreshments, a preventive step for the upcoming game against the Arizona Cardinals, where high temperatures are expected.

Forecasts suggest the temperature will reach 99 degrees, marking the hottest day in the history of Levi's Stadium. Coach Kyle Shanahan referenced the previous record, which was 90 degrees.

The 49ers sought to wear white uniforms but were refused by the NFL. They will instead wear red throwback jerseys accompanied by white pants.

Throughout the week, hydration has been a focal point, with players utilizing IVs to manage the heat. Left tackle Trent Williams minimized worries about the temperature, likening it to his offseasons spent in Houston.

The Arizona Cardinals might have an edge, practicing regularly in temperatures exceeding 100 degrees. Meanwhile, the 49ers are concerned about player attrition, as several team members are listed as doubtful or questionable.

Despite the heat and a Thursday game against the Seattle Seahawks approaching, coach Shanahan is likely to keep players in the game as long as they aren't injured.
