Jacksonville Jaguars coach Doug Pederson showed a lack of concern when asked about his job security following a 24-20 defeat to the Houston Texans, which left the team with a 0-4 record.
The Jaguars' owner and general manager have not suggested that Pederson is in danger of losing his job, despite the owner setting high expectations for the season. Reaching the playoffs seems unlikely due to the team's poor start.
Pederson currently holds an 18-20 record with the Jaguars, including just one win in their last ten games. Notably, the team captured the AFC South title in 2022 with a 9-8 record.
Despite consecutive winning seasons, the team's 0-4 beginning has caused concerns. Pederson, however, downplays the criticism, attributing the offense's struggles to missed opportunities rather than poor playcalling.
Pederson maintains confidence that the team is close to turning things around, even though he acknowledges the need for improvements.
