The reigning champions, the Golden State Warriors, achieved a 129-118 victory over the Sacramento Kings, marking their fourteenth consecutive home win. Stephen Curry was the top scorer with 32 points, while Domantas Sabonis and De'Aaron Fox contributed a combined total of 62 points for the Kings.
With a current home record of 12-2, the Warriors dominated the first half, outscoring the Kings 68-50. Curry had an impressive start, collecting 17 points just in the first quarter. Although Sabonis and Fox attempted to keep the Kings competitive, they were unable to break through the Warriors' strong defense.
The Kings staged a comeback in the third quarter, reducing the gap to only seven points. Nevertheless, the Warriors quickly answered with a 10-0 run, extending their advantage to 17 points. The Kings were unable to regain momentum, allowing the Warriors to secure their eighth consecutive win.
This win ensures the Warriors maintain their position at the top of the Western Conference standings. In contrast, the Kings' standing drops to 12-12. The Kings aim for a rebound against the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday, while the Warriors are set to play the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday.
