Jacksonville Jaguars News & Updates

The Jacksonville Jaguars seek to rejuvenate their season this Sunday as they put on "Prowler Throwbacks" to face the Indianapolis Colts. The team looks to draw inspiration from their 30th season anniversary and Tom Coughlin's induction into the ring of honor.

With a record of 0-4, the Jaguars will take on a Colts team that is 2-2 but has stumbled on Jacksonville soil, losing the last nine road games played there, including a matchup in London. Nonetheless, Indianapolis has recently seen success with two consecutive wins, although they have been managing increased injuries, leaving Anthony Richardson and Jonathan Taylor uncertain for the upcoming game due to hip and ankle concerns, respectively.

Despite not winning any games in September and suffering late defeats, Jacksonville feels they made strides in their narrow loss to Houston last week. They are focused on achieving a victory this weekend.

On the other side of the ball, E.J. Speed and Nick Cross have both accumulated 47 tackles over four games, putting them at the forefront of the league. Speed is particularly aiming to continue his streak of 10-tackle performances, a notable achievement previously reached only by Ray Lewis and Zach Thomas.

The Colts' defense has managed to record 12 sacks this season even with the absence of significant pass rushers due to injuries. They plan to sustain the pressure on opposing teams as they move forward.

In a halftime ceremony, the Jaguars will honor Tom Coughlin by inducting him into the "Pride of the Jaguars" in recognition of his contributions in laying the foundation of the team and guiding them to AFC title games in the 1996 and 1999 seasons.
