New England Patriots News & Updates

New England Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo has confirmed that Jacoby Brissett will remain the starting quarterback even after a 30-13 defeat to the San Francisco 49ers.

Mayo commends Brissett's toughness, reliability, and leadership, asserting that Brissett is "100%" the starter for the Patriots' next game against the Miami Dolphins.

Although Brissett threw a critical interception during the loss, Mayo feels that Brissett has performed admirably under significant pressure and despite the challenges faced by the offensive line.

Mayo is aware of the calls to start Drake Maye, the third overall draft pick, but stresses that the team's strategy is to stick with Brissett for the time being.

Understanding the frustration of fans and media, Mayo maintains that the current approach is what he believes to be in the best interest of both the team's present and future.
