Jameis Winston to Start as QB with Ken Dorsey Calling Plays: Browns Host Ravens Amidst Injury Challenges

Cleveland Browns News & Updates

Jameis Winston is set to take on the role of quarterback for the Cleveland Browns in their upcoming match against the Baltimore Ravens this Sunday.

Winston steps into the starting position following injuries that sidelined both Deshaun Watson and Dorian Thompson-Robinson during the Browns' recent loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski made the announcement about the quarterback switch, adding that offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey will now handle the play-calling duties.

The Browns are making significant changes after Watson's Achilles injury, which has ruled him out for the rest of the season. This marks the second consecutive year that a similar injury has ended his season prematurely.

With 10 years of experience in the NFL, Winston offers the Browns a more seasoned option for Sunday's game compared to Thompson-Robinson.

When Winston starts on Sunday, he will become the 38th quarterback to lead the Browns since the year 2000, setting the record for the most starting quarterbacks in the NFL during that period.
