Indianapolis Colts News & Updates

After being sidelined for three games due to a high ankle sprain, Jonathan Taylor, the Indianapolis Colts running back, is set to rejoin the team.

Taylor participated fully in practice on Friday and does not have any injury designation for the important AFC clash on Sunday against the Houston Texans. This follows his absence from practice after injuring his ankle during the Week 4 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Without Taylor, the Colts' running game faced difficulties, managing an average of only 89.6 rushing yards in Weeks 5 and 6. Anthony Richardson's return last week helped improve their performance, with the team achieving a season-high of 155 rushing yards.

Having Taylor back in the lineup offers the Colts another chance to strengthen their rushing attack. Over four games this season, he averages 87.3 rushing yards per game, has scored four touchdowns, and achieved 11 explosive runs.

Taylor expressed his relief about being on the practice field again, stating that while the training room is a good place, it's not where he prefers to be.

Additionally, defensive tackle DeForest Buckner, who has been out for five games due to a high ankle sprain, practiced this week and remains uncertain for Sunday's match.
