Buffalo Bills News & Updates

The NFL and NFL Players Association determined that the concussion protocol was appropriately followed during Josh Allen's evaluation after the Buffalo Bills' game against the Houston Texans.

Despite being tackled hard and having his head hit the ground, the quarterback did not lose consciousness. He was assessed on the field, taken to the medical tent, and was cleared to return to the game.

Allen described feeling a significant impact to his chest and noted that he rolled his ankle, but the examination confirmed he was fit to continue playing.

The concussion protocol, managed collectively by the NFL and NFLPA, ensures that Unaffiliated Neurotrauma Consultants and Booth Spotters operate with training and neutrality.

Allen, who missed just one offensive play, is also managing an injury to his left hand and ankle but has been able to fully participate in practice. Upcoming, the Bills are set to play against the Jets on Monday night.
