The Mets broke their four-game losing streak with a 5-3 win over the Marlins. Byung-ho Park's two-run homer in the fourth inning put the Mets in the lead.
Even though the Marlins scored three runs in the fifth inning to gain an advantage, the Mets responded with two runs in the seventh to reclaim the lead.
In the seventh inning, both Asdrubal Cabrera and Wilmer Flores contributed an RBI each. Robert Gsellman pitched for 6 2/3 innings, giving up three runs and striking out seven, securing the win.
AJ Ramos delivered a flawless ninth inning to secure his 11th save of the season. With this victory, the Mets improved their record to 25-29, while the Marlins dropped to 22-32.
