San Francisco 49ers News & Updates

Following their last-minute victory, Coach Kyle Shanahan of the 49ers commented on a discord involving Deebo Samuel, Taybor Pepper, and Jake Moody.

Initially, Shanahan downplayed the event, but later felt it necessary to discuss it. He talked to several players and managed to settle the matter.

The issue arose after Moody missed a field goal, which led Samuel to confront him. Samuel confessed to being frustrated and acting unusually, while Pepper stepped in to support Moody.

Moody remained composed after the incident, focusing on his primary goal of successfully making kicks.

Shanahan interpreted Samuel's conduct as a motivational effort and did not consider it excessive. He commended Pepper's intentions but felt his response was an overreaction.

No fines will be imposed on the players involved, as Shanahan sees such interactions as part of the sport. He did mention Moody's challenges, having missed three field goals in his return game from injury.

Nevertheless, Moody's final kick secured the game-winning field goal.

Regarding injuries, George Kittle may face limitations in the upcoming week due to some hamstring irritation.
