Dallas Cowboys News & Updates

In a commanding performance in Arlington, Texas, Jared Goff steered the Detroit Lions to a 47-9 victory over the Dallas Cowboys. Goff threw for 315 yards and three touchdowns, while David Montgomery contributed two rushing touchdowns.

The Lions dominated the game early on, establishing a 27-6 lead by halftime. For the Cowboys, Dak Prescott threw two interceptions, and the team became the first since at least 2000 to trail by 14 points or more at halftime in four consecutive home games.

The Lions suffered a setback with pass rusher Aidan Hutchinson sustaining a left tibia injury that requires surgery. Prior to this game, Hutchinson was leading the NFL in sacks.

In a previous win for the Lions, Jared Goff set a record by completing 18 consecutive passes. However, his streak of 19 completions ended during Detroit's second offensive play in this game.

Sam LaPorta scored on a trick play with a 52-yard touchdown catch, and David Montgomery also had a 16-yard rushing touchdown.

Another injury hit the Lions as defensive lineman Kyle Peko injured his pectoral muscle.

Looking ahead, the Lions are scheduled to visit Minnesota next Sunday, while the Cowboys will have a bye week.
