After securing a 20-13 win at State Farm Stadium, Detroit Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown emphasized the necessity for offensive improvement. He praised the defense but also conveyed that scoring more points is crucial to their Super Bowl goals.
The Lions have managed to extend their streak of consecutive wins post-loss to nine, avoiding back-to-back losses since 2022. St. Brown was instrumental, leading the team with seven catches, totaling 75 yards, and scoring a touchdown.
Even with the victory, the offense hasn't fully met expectations, averaging 20.7 points per game and a red zone efficiency of 38.5%. The team has focused on enhancing these metrics, which led to touchdowns by Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery.
In the locker room, there was acknowledgment of the need for offensive growth. Left tackle Taylor Decker believes in the team's potential but insists they must deliver a complete offensive performance. Veteran quarterback Jared Goff had a strong completion rate but recorded his fourth interception of the season.
On the defensive side, the Lions excelled in the second half, conceding only three points. St. Brown noted the team's capacity to win various types of games, demonstrating their adaptability.
