Miami Dolphins News & Updates

Mason Rudolph led the Tennessee Titans to their first victory, even though he felt his contribution was minimal. Key factors in the win included Nick Folk's five successful field goals and Rudolph guiding the team through seven scoring drives.

Starting quarterback Will Levis had to exit the game with a shoulder injury, giving Rudolph the chance to fill in. He completed nine out of 17 passes for a total of 85 yards. Consequently, Tennessee's coach Brian Callahan decided to rest Levis during their upcoming bye week.

Folk's precise field goals, a touchdown run by Tyjae Spears, and a 4-yard rush from Tony Pollard contributed to the Titans' 142 rushing yards. On the other side, Miamiā€™s starting quarterback, Tyler Huntley, managed a rushing touchdown but faced difficulties with his passing game.

The Dolphins' offense struggled in the absence of Tua Tagovailoa. Huntley's interception during a two-point conversion attempt and a grounding penalty further hampered their comeback efforts. Additionally, low receiving numbers from DeAndre Hopkins and Tyreek Hill added to Miami's challenges.

Tennesseeā€™s defense showcased its strength through an interception and a fumble recovery following Miamiā€™s turnovers. Despite several errors and dropped passes, the Dolphins did manage to recover a fumbled punt after an extensive review.

The first half ended disappointingly for Miami, as loud boos from the crowd at Hard Rock Stadium reflected their frustration. The Dolphins failed to score a touchdown for the eighth consecutive quarter, trailing 9-3.

Both teams dealt with injuries: Keondre Coburn left the game for Tennessee with a knee injury, while Miami's Jeff Wilson Jr. and Jaelan Phillips also suffered knee injuries.

The Titans plan to make use of their bye week before hosting the Colts, whereas the Dolphins will travel to face the Patriots.
