Minnesota Vikings' Kevin O'Connell Supports Colts' Anthony Richardson During Career Challenges

Anthony Richardson, who has been benched as the Colts' quarterback, found an unexpected source of encouragement from Kevin O'Connell, the coach of the Vikings, following a challenging loss.

Even though he did not select Richardson in the draft, O'Connell had assessed him highly before it took place. He conveyed his confidence in Richardson's potential to have a successful career in the NFL over the long term.

Having gone through a similar journey as a quarterback, O'Connell felt a connection with Richardson's current situation. He stressed the significance of offering support and encouragement, regardless of the challenges faced.

As of now, Richardson will continue to serve as the backup quarterback for the Colts in their next game. On the other side, the Vikings, with Sam Darnold at the helm, are set to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars.
