Detroit Lions center Frank Ragnow will miss the Monday night game against the Seattle Seahawks due to a partially torn pectoral muscle, as announced by coach Dan Campbell.
The injury occurred during the Lions' victory over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. Although Ragnow was initially expected to play, Campbell mentioned that the team did not want to risk further injury, particularly at this early stage of the season.
Ragnow received second-team All-Pro honors last season and Pro Bowl selections in both 2022 and 2023. He remains a key player in Detroit's offense, but the coaching staff believes in the depth they have built within the team.
Scottie Montgomery, the Lions' assistant head coach and running backs coach, commented on the situation by expressing confidence in the team's depth.
