New England Patriots News & Updates

The NFL has added New England Patriots safety Jabrill Peppers to the commissioner exempt list, which prevents him from participating in practices or attending games.

This decision follows Peppers' arrest on charges such as strangulation and drug possession, to which he entered a plea of not guilty on Monday.

Patriots coach Jerod Mayo has spoken against domestic violence and emphasized that Peppers needs to go through the due process. Mayo mentioned that Peppers is currently not with the team as further information is being collected.

Peppers, who is a team captain in his third season with the Patriots, is facing severe accusations. According to police reports, a woman has accused him of assaulting her, strangling her on multiple occasions, and having cocaine in his possession.

Peppers' lawyer asserts that there is evidence, including a video, that casts doubt on the claims made against him. Peppers has agreed to keep his distance from the woman involved.

The Patriots are set to play their next game at home this Sunday against the Houston Texans.
