New England Patriots Quarterback Drake Maye Approved to Start Against Tennessee Titans

The New England Patriots are set to have quarterback Drake Maye back as a starter for Sunday’s matchup against the Tennessee Titans following his recovery from a concussion.

Maye suffered the concussion during the team's victory against the New York Jets. Although he was absent from some practice sessions earlier in the week, he made a return by Friday.

Selected as the third overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, Maye has significantly boosted the Patriots' offense. He has recorded 564 passing yards with five touchdowns and two interceptions, in addition to rushing for 114 yards and scoring a touchdown.

While Maye’s running skills are notable, offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt stressed the importance of being cautious when sliding to prevent further injuries.

The Patriots, holding a 2-6 record, aim to achieve consecutive victories for the first time since October 2022 as they face the Titans, who currently have a 1-6 record.
