New Orleans Saints News & Updates

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Chris Olave will be meeting with specialists following his second concussion of the season. The concussion occurred when Olave was struck by Carolina Panthers safety Xavier Woods while attempting to catch a pass on Sunday. After being knocked to the ground, Olave was taken to a local hospital for evaluation and was released later that day.

Darren Rizzi, the interim head coach, stated that the team is handling things on a daily basis to ensure Olave prioritizes his health. Throughout his NFL career, Olave has experienced four confirmed concussions and switched to a safer helmet model after the first concussion this season.

Olave's brother has voiced concerns about the dangers associated with playing in New Orleans. However, Rizzi emphasized that they are considering all possibilities related to Olave's future in football. The team's primary focus is on Olave's health and well-being, and they will make decisions based on the advice of specialists.
