New York Jets News & Updates

The New York Jets have added kicker Greg Zuerlein to the injured reserve list because of an unspecified injury.

Riley Patterson and Spencer Shrader, who were both recently added to the practice squad, will be responsible for kicking during the Jets' upcoming game against the Houston Texans.

Zuerlein's difficulties have been a major factor in the Jets' underwhelming season, with his missed kicks contributing to half of their six losses.

After signing a lucrative deal in 2023, Zuerlein has experienced a career-low by achieving only 60% on field goals this season.

The Jets, originally aiming for the Super Bowl at the start of the season, have fallen to a record of 2-6 after enduring five consecutive defeats.

Patterson and Shrader bring different levels of experience, with Patterson showing an 88% success rate on field goals while Shrader has appeared in only one game.
