NFL Icon Tom Brady Set to Join Las Vegas Raiders as Minority Owner

Tom Brady is on the verge of becoming a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders. His proposal has been reviewed by the NFL's finance committee and is now set to be presented to the league's owners for a vote. To move forward, 24 out of the 32 owners need to approve this deal.

The committee would not advance the bid for a vote unless they were confident of its approval, suggesting that Brady's ownership is likely just a formality.

The finance committee gave unanimous approval to Brady's bid, and it is uncommon for owners to reject such a recommendation.

Brady plans to acquire roughly 10% of the Raiders in partnership with businessman Tom Wagner, purchasing the stake from owner Mark Davis.

His journey to becoming an owner has been longer than anticipated because the league's financial committee initially considered the offer to be too discounted.

Brady is anticipated to join the ranks of well-known former athletes who have ownership in sports teams, alongside individuals like Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, and Patrick Mahomes.
