Cleveland Browns News & Updates

Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb is anticipated to play his first game of the season against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 7. This marks his return after a serious left knee injury that required multiple surgeries last year.

Chubb has been actively participating in practice for the last two weeks and has been increasing his workload as part of his rehabilitation. Browns coach Kevin Stefanski has expressed satisfaction with Chubb's progress, highlighting his contributions both on the scout team and within the main offense.

Chubb, who will turn 29 in December, sustained the season-ending knee injury in Week 2 of the 2023 season. He underwent two surgical procedures to address damage to his medial capsule, meniscus, MCL, and ACL.

Before the injury in 2023, Chubb had achieved over 1,000 rushing yards for four consecutive seasons, reaching a career-best 1,525 yards in 2022. The four-time Pro Bowl player previously experienced multiple knee injuries while playing at the University of Georgia in 2015.
