Nico Collins is poised for a comeback with the Houston Texans as he has been cleared to start practicing again following a month-long stint on injured reserve due to a hamstring problem.
The Texans have marked Collins as questionable for their next game against the Detroit Lions, scheduled for "Sunday Night Football".
Before his hamstring injury during a touchdown catch in Week 5, Collins was leading the NFL in receiving yards. In his absence, the Texans' offense has put up an average of 24.8 points per game, but their passing game has faced challenges, managing just 158 passing yards per contest.
While Collins was sidelined, Stefon Diggs suffered a knee injury ending his season, leaving quarterback C.J. Stroud without his two main targets. Over the last four weeks, Stroud's performance has slipped, with decreases in yards, touchdowns, and completion percentage.
Moreover, receiver Tank Dell is also questionable with a back issue, and defensive end Will Anderson Jr. will not play due to an ankle sprain.
