Carolina Panthers News & Updates

Miles Sanders, the Panthers' running back, encountered an ankle and foot injury during the second quarter, resulting in his absence for the remainder of the game.

With Sanders out, Chuba Hubbard took over as the main ball carrier and delivered an impressive performance, rushing for 153 yards and scoring a touchdown on 28 carries. His efforts helped propel the Panthers to a 20-17 overtime win against the Giants in Munich.

Sanders joined the Panthers with a four-year contract signed in March 2023. However, he lost his starting position to Hubbard last season. The Panthers made attempts to trade Sanders, but a suitable deal couldn't be found.

Jonathon Brooks, a rookie running back who underwent ACL surgery last November while playing at Texas, was not active on Sunday. He is anticipated to make his first appearance in two weeks when the Panthers face the Kansas City Chiefs.
