New England Patriots News & Updates

Brenden Schooler of the New England Patriots has signed a contract extension for three years valued at $9 million, with the potential to increase to $10.5 million if certain incentives are met.

His agent, Alex Campbell, conveyed Schooler's enthusiasm for continuing to be part of the Patriots' storied special teams unit.

The contract provides Schooler with $3.6 million in bonuses and guarantees. Schooler joined the Patriots in 2022 as an undrafted free agent and has since been the team's leader in special teams tackles. Recently, he also blocked a punt in a game against Miami.

Jeremy Springer, the special teams coordinator, commended Schooler for his dedication and ability to work independently.

In 2023, Schooler's blocked field goal in the game against Miami further solidified his reputation as one of the top special teams players in the NFL.

This Sunday, the Patriots, who currently hold a 1-4 record, are set to play against the Houston Texans, who have a record of 4-1.
