Patriots Enhance Offense by Activating Kendrick Bourne from PUP List Ahead of Dolphins Matchup

Kendrick Bourne, the wide receiver for the New England Patriots, is gearing up to return to action on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins. After a period on the physically unable to perform list following an ACL tear in October 2023, he is set to rejoin the team.

The Patriots are hoping Bourne's return will be a significant improvement for their underperforming offense, which is currently ranked 31st in scoring. During his first season with New England in 2021, Bourne set personal records with 55 receptions totaling 800 yards.

Offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt has already noticed a positive influence on the offense with Bourne's involvement. He is anticipated to take over for K.J. Osborn, who has been unable to practice due to a shoulder injury.

Meanwhile, the Patriots are dealing with challenges on defense. Jabrill Peppers, the starting safety, will not be playing because of a shoulder issue. Additionally, another starting safety, Kyle Dugger, is uncertain to play as he also struggles with an ankle injury.
