The Las Vegas Raiders might consider trading Davante Adams, an All-Pro receiver, for a package that includes a second-round draft pick along with additional compensation.
Adams, who was acquired from the Green Bay Packers in March 2022, missed his first game as a Raider on Sunday due to a hamstring injury.
Earlier on Tuesday, Adams dismissed rumors about leaving Las Vegas during his appearance on the "Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams." Despite this, speculation surged after Raiders coach Antonio Pierce liked an Instagram post questioning Adams' future with the team.
Adams' significant salary for the 2025 and 2026 seasons, amounting to $36.25 million per year, might necessitate a contract restructure for any potential trade partner.
Controversy has also been fueled by Adams' remarks on the Netflix series "Receiver" and his subsequent absences from training camp and a preseason game.
Following Derek Carr’s departure, Adams has played with several quarterbacks in Las Vegas, such as Stidham, Garoppolo, Hoyer, O'Connell, and Minshew.
In the current season, Adams has amassed 18 catches for 209 yards and a touchdown over three games.
