In the opening game of the Eastern Conference semifinals on Monday night, the Boston Celtics emerged victorious over the Miami Heat with a score of 102-82.

Jayson Tatum led the way for the Celtics, achieving 29 points and securing 8 rebounds. Jaylen Brown contributed by adding 25 points and 7 rebounds, while Marcus Smart supported the team with 18 points and 5 assists.

On the Miami Heat's side, Jimmy Butler ended the game with 23 points, and Bam Adebayo contributed 19 points along with 12 rebounds. Despite their efforts, the Heat encountered challenges in finding their offensive rhythm during the game.

The Celtics established a substantial 15-point advantage in the first quarter and maintained their lead throughout. They exhibited impressive shooting capabilities, achieving 50% accuracy from the field and 40% from beyond the arc, whereas the Heat managed only 38% field goal accuracy and 20% from three-point range.

Boston also excelled in the rebounding department, outmatching the Heat with a 54-37 advantage. The Celtics pulled down 15 offensive rebounds, providing them with numerous second-chance scoring opportunities.

The teams will reconvene in Boston for Game 2 of the series on Wednesday night.
