Following a 20-17 defeat to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, the players of the Tennessee Titans shared their frustration, with Calvin Ridley being notably vocal about the situation.
Ridley mentioned that things are getting out of control, expressing the need to improve his performance. He also highlighted the importance of receiving the ball earlier to contribute effectively.
Coach Brian Callahan acknowledged Ridley's concerns, pointing out that there were plays designed to involve Ridley early on. However, he empathized with Ridley's frustration due to the lack of success of those plays.
Despite eight opportunities, Ridley did not manage to catch the ball, with five of these chances occurring in the fourth quarter after Indianapolis had taken the lead.
This marks the third time the Titans have lost by a narrow margin this season. Jeffery Simmons voiced his frustration, underscoring the importance of minimizing self-inflicted mistakes.
Callahan considers the players' frustrations as a positive indication of their determination to win. He believes the team's spirit remains strong even amidst their disappointing start to the season.
Currently standing at a 1-4 record, the Titans are set to face future matches against Buffalo and Detroit. Continued struggles could potentially lead to a 1-6 record.
