Malik Nabers, a rookie wide receiver with the New York Giants, returned to practice wearing a noncontact jersey after being sidelined for three weeks due to a concussion. Head Coach Brian Daboll anticipates that Nabers will advance to the next stages of the concussion protocol on Thursday, which might pave the way for his involvement in Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Nabers' return is seen as vital for the Giants' offense, especially after a challenging week in which they lost their starting left tackle, Andrew Thomas, who underwent foot surgery that ended his season. In Thomas's absence, the team has assigned Josh Ezeudu to assume his position.
The Giants are also contending with injuries on defense. Dexter Lawrence, dealing with a hip issue, and Brian Burns, who has a groin injury, were absent from practice on Wednesday. Additionally, Kayvon Thibodeaux is on injured reserve due to a wrist injury.
Despite their physical setbacks, both Lawrence and Burns have conveyed their desire to play against the Eagles, while Daboll has labeled their situation as day-to-day.
