Seahawks Face Increasing Injuries: Jerrell Set to Start at Tackle, Woolen and Brown Out Against Falcons

The Seattle Seahawks will have Mike Jerrell as their right tackle for their upcoming game against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. This change was announced by coach Mike Macdonald on Friday. Jerrell is the team's fourth choice for the right tackle position and has not yet played an offensive snap.

In addition, the Seahawks will be missing their top cornerbacks, Riq Woolen and Tre Brown, due to injuries. Stone Forsythe, who had previously filled in at right tackle for five games, is also unavailable with a hand injury.

Despite being a 21-year veteran, Jason Peters will remain on the practice squad and will not be promoted this week. However, Faion Hicks and Josh Jobe will be brought up from the practice squad to assist at cornerback, joining Devon Witherspoon, who will play as a nickelback.

Seattle hopes to have Woolen and Brown back in the lineup next week. Coach Macdonald also shared that safety Rayshawn Jenkins underwent surgery last Friday, but he is expected to return this season.

The Seahawks are currently on a three-game losing streak and are considered 3.0-point underdogs for their game against the Falcons.
