Running back Kenneth Walker III of the Seattle Seahawks is considered doubtful for Sunday's game against Miami because of an oblique injury.
Coach Mike Macdonald is hopeful that Walker will be able to return by Week 4, benefiting from an additional day of rest ahead of the Monday night game against the Detroit Lions.
Additionally, the Seahawks will be without outside linebacker Uchenna Nwosu and right tackle George Fant due to knee injuries. Inside linebacker Jerome Baker is also doubtful due to a hamstring issue.
Nwosu, who sustained an MCL sprain in the preseason, is making a swift recovery and aims to play the following week.
Walker, who missed the previous week's game, showed limited progress during his first practice since the injury, according to Macdonald.
Zach Charbonnet stepped in as the starting running back against the Patriots and delivered a strong performance, though no other Seattle running back had any carries or targets.
Kenny McIntosh holds the role of the team's third running back, while George Holani and Brittain Brown are on the practice squad. Holani is currently dealing with an ankle injury.
Macdonald is optimistic that outside linebacker Boye Mafe, safety K'Von Wallace, and wide receiver/kickoff returner Laviska Shenault Jr. will be able to play on Sunday, despite being listed as questionable due to minor injuries.
Outside linebacker Derick Hall and tight end Pharaoh Brown are also listed as questionable.
