Seahawks Place Edge Defender Uchenna Nwosu on Injured Reserve, Scheduled to Miss Several Games

The Seattle Seahawks have decided to place their outside linebacker, Uchenna Nwosu, on injured reserve due to a thigh injury, as reported by a source. Nwosu, recognized as the team's leading edge defender, is expected to be sidelined for at least four games. There is a possibility that he might return in time for their game against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 11.

Alongside Nwosu, the Seahawks are facing other potential absences due to injuries. Rookie defensive tackle Byron Murphy II, who is dealing with a hamstring issue, cornerback Riq Woolen with an ankle problem, and outside linebackers Derick Hall with a foot injury and Boye Mafe with a knee concern, might not be available for the upcoming Thursday matchup against the 49ers.

Both Hall and Woolen were unable to participate in practice sessions on both Monday and Tuesday. Conversely, Mafe progressed from limited to full participation in practice, but his status for the game remains uncertain. These injuries pose a challenge for the Seahawks as they seek to end their five-game losing streak against the 49ers.
