Seattle Seahawks News & Updates

After experiencing a three-game losing streak, the Seattle Seahawks bounced back with a dominant win against the Atlanta Falcons. Quarterback Geno Smith made light of running back Kenneth Walker III's performance despite his illness.

Even though he was suffering from flu-like symptoms, Walker scored two touchdowns on his 24th birthday. He pushed through his fatigue, achieving 93 total yards with 16 touches of the ball.

Smith commended Walker's efforts, likening it to a "flu game," and acknowledged the Seahawks' training staff for ensuring Walker stayed hydrated.

Walker admitted to feeling drained during the match but still celebrated his second touchdown with the "Dirty Bird" dance, as he had promised his running backs coach.

Head coach Mike Macdonald lauded Walker's dedication and hard work, while tight end Noah Fant observed Walker's focused mentality prior to the game.

With a strategy that included 22 designed run plays, the Seahawks achieved a more balanced offensive plan. On defense, they capitalized on three turnovers, which featured a strip sack and a scoop-and-score touchdown.

Walker’s outstanding game, along with the San Francisco 49ers’ loss, catapulted the Seahawks back to the leading position in the NFC West standings.
