Seattle Seahawks News & Updates

On Wednesday, Abraham Lucas was moved from the PUP list by the Seattle Seahawks. This decision moves the third-year right tackle closer to a comeback following knee surgery during the offseason.

To create space on the team roster, the Seahawks shifted right tackle George Fant to the injured reserve list.

This move doesn't ensure that Lucas will play in Sunday's match against the San Francisco 49ers, but Coach Mike Macdonald expressed hope that he could return to action.

The Seahawks have had challenges at the right tackle position this year, making Lucas's return important. They have conceded 28 sacks, placing them among the teams with the highest numbers in the league.

Lucas took part in most practices with some restrictions in the initial two weeks before the bye. Macdonald, pleased with his development, noted that Lucas "looked really good." Last year, as a rookie, Lucas ranked 17th in pass block win rate among tackles.

Macdonald pointed out that Lucas's participation in this week's game would depend on his ongoing improvement and achieving specific goals.
