Seattle Seahawks News & Updates

Kenneth Walker III, the Seattle Seahawks running back, is set to make his return from injury for the game against the Detroit Lions on Monday.

The Seahawks will be missing several important defensive players, including defensive linemen Leonard Williams and Byron Murphy, as well as outside linebackers Uchenna Nwosu and Boye Mafe. Additionally, inside linebacker Jerome Baker's participation is uncertain.

The Lions are favored by 3.5 points. The Seahawks have started the season 3-0, but their victories against the Denver Broncos, New England Patriots, and Miami Dolphins came while those teams were without their starting quarterbacks.

Facing the Lions at Ford Field represents the Seahawks' first substantial challenge of the season, and they will be missing their top four front-seven defenders. Despite this, new Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald has expressed confidence in the team's depth.

Walker, who missed the last two games due to an injury, is deemed ready to play, according to Macdonald.

Byron Murphy, who was the 16th overall pick in the draft, may miss more than one week due to a hamstring injury. Boye Mafe’s knee injury is considered minor, and Uchenna Nwosu's MCL sprain is also not viewed as a significant setback.

Despite accumulating six penalties in the first three games, right guard Anthony Bradford is expected to play.
